“The Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying “All the nations will be blessed in you… So then those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.”(Galatians.3.8.9 NASB1995)
1. The gift from God is
”God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is among men, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His people, and God Himself will be among them, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away.” (Revelations 21:3-4)
2. The gift from God is given
18 For the word of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 21 For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not come to know God, God was well-pleased through the foolishness of the [o]message preached to save those who believe. 22 For indeed Jews ask for signs and Greeks search for wisdom; 23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block and to Gentiles foolishness, 24 but to those who are the called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.(1 Corinthians 1:18,21-24 NASB 1995)
“Now the Lord said to Abram,“Go forth from your country, And from your relativesAnd from your father’s house, To the land which I will show you; And I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse. And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.”(Genesis 12:1,3)
“4 So Abram went forth as the LORD had spoken to him; and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran. 5 Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the persons which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; thus they came to the land of Canaan”. (Genesis 12:4-5)
3. The gift from God is given to
“(God our Savior), who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.”(1 Timothy 2:4)
I will also make You a light of the nations. So that My salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:6)
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, “I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life.”(John 8:12)
“For you were formerly darkness, but now you are Light in the Lord; walk as children of Light. (Ephesians 5:8)

Newhopeでは、毎年7.5.3の時期に子供祝福式として子供の祝福をみんなで祈ります。ぜひお子さんをお連れください。 Every year at New Hope Tokyo, we pray for the children in our Child Blessing Ceremony. Please bring your children!
Baby dedication is a time where parents can express their faith and pray for their newly born child, and as a church we will support the parents in prayer. This will only be held if there are applicants, so if you wish to participate, please apply by emailing us at nhtedification@gmail.com with the parents’ and baby’s names.
