There will also be baptism preparation meetings on Sunday, October 25 and Sunday, November 1 in Room 407 at OCC. If you are interested in being baptized, please make sure to attend these meetings.

So the king asked me, “Why are you looking so sad? You don’t look sick to me. You must be deeply troubled.” Then I was terrified, but I replied, “Long live the king! How can I not be sad? For the city where my ancestors are buried is in ruins, and the gates have been destroyed by fire.”（Nehemiah 2:2,3 NLT）
The king asked, “Well, how can I help you?” With a prayer to the God of heaven, I replied, “If it pleases the king, and if you are pleased with me, your servant, send me to Judah to rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried.” The king, with the queen sitting beside him, asked, “How long will you be gone? When will you return?” After I told him how long I would be gone, the king agreed to my request. （Nehemiah 2:4-6 NLT）
I also said to the king, “If it pleases the king, let me have letters addressed to the governors of the province west of the Euphrates River, instructing them to let me travel safely through their territories on my way to Judah（Nehemiah 2:7 NLT）
And please give me a letter addressed to Asaph, the manager of the king’s forest, instructing him to give me timber. I will need it to make beams for the gates of the Temple fortress, for the city walls, and for a house for myself.” And the king granted these requests, because the gracious hand of God was on me.（Nehemiah 2:8 NLT）

Now when it was reported to Sanballat, Tobiah, to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had rebuilt the wall, and that no breach remained in it, although at that time I had not set up the doors in the gates, then Sanballat and Geshem sent a message to me, saying, “Come, let us meet together at Chephirim in the plain of Ono.” But they were planning to harm me. So I sent messengers to them, saying, “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it and come down to you?” They sent messages to me four times in this manner, and I answered them in the same way. (Nehemiah 6:1-4 NASB)
We will hold baby dedications during our worship services on Sunday, November 29.
Baby dedication is a special time to pray for God’s blessing on the children He has given us and for parents to express their faith before Him. Together, we pray: “God, You have entrusted this child to us. This child belongs to You, and we dedicate this child to You. Help us to raise this child with Your love and wisdom.”
It is also a time for the church, as God’s family, to pray for the parents and their children and to walk alongside them as they grow.
If you would like to have your child dedicated, please email the following information by Sunday, November 15:
1. Your preferred service: the morning service, the 2:00 p.m. service, or both.
2. The names of the parents and child in both Japanese and English.
3. A photo of your baby.

ONEゴスペルダンススクール発表会2026「HOPE」 ONE Gospel Dance School Showcase 2026: “HOPE”
Join us for ONE Gospel Dance School Showcase 2026, “HOPE,” on Saturday, November 14, at the Olympic Center’s Main Hall.
The first half features performances by gospel dance teams from various regions. In the second half, ONE presents “HOPE,” bringing the life of Jesus Christ to the stage through dance, drama, video, and lighting. This creative and accessible production is designed for audiences of all ages and across language barriers.
There will be two performances, at 2:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Both feature the same program and are expected to run approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes.

This year, we will celebrate Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 22. As we thank God for the harvest and the food He provides, we also look forward to sharing our everyday gratitude with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

On the 5th Sunday of every month, we will have “Ohana Worship,” where all generations, including small children, gather together for one united worship service.
“Ohana” means “family” in Hawaiian.
The next Ohana Worship will be held on Sunday, August 30th.
On this day, children will join the adults in the main worship service, so there will be no Kids or Teens Ministry classes.
Please invite your family and friends and join us!
*Both the morning and afternoon services will be held in the 8th floor chapel.
Midweek Service is held every Wednesday from 7:00–8:30 PM at OCC 507.
In the middle of the week, come and take time to experience the good things God has for us through worship, His Word, prayer, and fellowship.

In partnership with Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), New Hope Tokyo hosts regular Bible studies. Each week, you’ll study Scripture chapter by chapter, discuss in a small group, and listen to a lecture to deepen your understanding of God’s Word and apply it to your everyday life.
This year’s study is Romans – From Guilt to Grace. Romans speaks to our deepest struggles — doubt, fear, and guilt — and leads us to God’s grace. Whether you’re reading the Bible for the first time or have been studying it for years, you’re welcome to join us. We’d love to learn together with you!
